Oppo A3 Pro global variant sighted on NBTC certification, Thailand launch imminent

Oppo has some new lineups under its A series of smartphones for the global audience. Today, however, I will be talking about the Oppo A3 Pro 5G, which has been spotted again on a certification website. This time, it is the NBTC, the telecom authority for Thailand.

Now let me talk about what has been revealed via this certification

It has been listed with the model number “CPH2639” and has been certified with the certification number B38360-24. The date of issue of the certificate isn’t mentioned, so it probably hasn’t been fully approved yet. Additionally, under the telecommunication system, it shows support for GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR. However, it doesn’t reveal much in terms of specifications.

Earlier, it was spotted on the Google Play Console listing, which revealed it might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ paired with the Mali G57 GPU. The listing also indicated a screen resolution of 720×1604 pixels with a screen density of 320 PPI. Additionally, it will have at least 8GB of RAM and will run on Android 14 OS. The Google Play Console supported devices list also revealed another model number, “CPH2667.” However, it is currently unclear whether this model will carry the same specs as the global Oppo A3 Pro or if it will have different specifications.

Earlier, we also spotted this upcoming smartphone on Malaysia’s SIRIMUAE’s TDRASDPPI, and Eurofins, all with the same model number “CPH2639.” Although SIRIM, TDRA, and SDPPI didn’t reveal much in terms of specifications, Eurofins did provide some details about the battery specs. According to the certification, the smartphone will feature a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.

One important detail discovered via this listing is that there will be two more models, which will be rebranded versions of the Oppo A3 Pro 5G global variant. These models are the Oppo A3 5G and Oppo A80 5G.

Currently, both of these new monikers haven’t appeared on any telecommunication certification websites. However, since they have appeared on the Google Play Console, we can expect these two models to appear soon.

It’s important not to confuse the global variant with the Chinese one. The Chinese version comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SOC and is expected to be released globally as the Oppo Reno 12 F 5G and Oppo F27 Pro Series.
