The upcoming OnePlus Watch 4’s alleged retail box unit images have now been shared online, and a few of its key specs have also been revealed via its listing on the Google Play Console platform.
Read more about it below.
OnePlus Watch 4 – Retail Box Unit Images
The retail box images of the OnePlus Watch 4 have been shared online by a tipster on X (formerly Twitter) who goes by the username @erenylmaz075. Looking at the design, the smartwatch features a round circular dial, and a crown along with a secondary button can be spotted on the side edges. The front portion of the dial also appears to feature visible screws. Two strap options – one in dark green colour and another in black colour option – can also be seen in the images.
Via the details mentioned on the retail box, it reveals the model number as “OPWWE261”, and 10W fast wired charging support has also been mentioned. Furthermore, it is also revealed that the smartwatch will be compatible with devices running on Android 9.0 or above, and should have a GMS version of 23.45.23 and above. Speaking more about the compatibility, the watch will not support iOS devices or smartphones running on Android Go Edition. It also mentions one of the strap colour variants as “Evergreen Titanium”. Additionally, the retail packaging also suggests that this particular unit is meant for the UK market, confirming its expected launch in the region.
OnePlus Watch 4 – Google Play Console Listing
Via its listing on the Google Play Console database, a few more specs of the OnePlus Watch 4 have been revealed, and it carries the same model number of “OPWWE261”. As per the listing, the device is said to run on the Android 16 operating system and will be equipped with 2GB RAM.
Speaking more, the listing reveals a Qualcomm ‘SDM429’ chipset, featuring four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.95GHz, integrated with the Adreno 504 GPU. However, this detail could possibly be inaccurate, as its predecessor featured a Snapdragon W5 chipset, and it is less likely for the brand to equip the upcoming model with an inferior processor. It is expected that the same or a similar chipset could be used, but this remains unconfirmed for now.
Looking at the display specs, a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a pixel density of 320 (xhdpi) have been mentioned, which aligns with its predecessor that featured a 1.5-inch display.
Looking into previous updates, the smartwatch was also spotted on the EMVCo certification platform, suggesting that it will run on WearOS 6.0 based on Android 16, and the same has now been indicated via the Google Play Console listing as well. In addition to this, the Elements certification has confirmed the 10W fast charging support.
Rumours further suggest that the OnePlus Watch 4 could arrive as a rebranded version of the Oppo Watch X3, which is expected to debut in China and select global markets on the 21st of April.
With these new updates now surfacing online, the official launch of the smartwatch is expected to take place soon.
Stay tuned for more updates.
