OnePlus ‘CPH2709’ Smartphone Spotted on the TUV Rheinland Database: Could be the OnePlus Nord 5
A new OnePlus smartphone has now been spotted on the TUV Rheinland certification database and from what it seems, this device could possibly be the next OnePlus Nord 5. Via the certification listing, a few details concerning the upcoming device have also been revealed.

OnePlus ‘CPH2709’ – TUV Rheinland Certification
The OnePlus ‘CPH2709’ smartphone has received the TUV Rheinland certification with the certificate number of ‘JPTUV-172926’, and it has been categorized as a ‘mobile phone’ on the certification database. It is also suggested to pack a 6650 mAh rated battery (26.07Wh), and is pointed out to support an 80W wired fast charging feature (previously reported to support 100W fast charging like its predecessor). Class III protection (low voltage operation + protective design) is also a notable spec of the device.
To add, the country codes – ‘EU’, ‘CA’, ‘US’, and ‘SA’ mentioned on the TUV Rheinland database confirm its launch in Europe, Canada, United States, and Saudi Arabia as well.
Speaking more, the model numbers for both the OnePlus Nord CE 5 and OnePlus 13s smartphones have already been spotted on certification databases, leaving out only the OnePlus Nord 5 device. This means that the now TUV Rheinland-certified OnePlus smartphone could be the upcoming OnePlus Nord 5 itself.
About the OnePlus Nord 5, this device was recently tipped to come equipped with a more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chip and pack a larger 7000 mAh battery (typical value) within it. Unlike its predecessor which has a metal unibody, a plastic build was also said to be offered this time, along with a new design language. New updates now reveal additional specs like OLED flat display screen with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP (main, OIS-supported) + 8MP (ultra-wide) dual camera unit, 16MP selfie camera, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, IR blaster, and glass back + plastic frame.
Regarding the launch, when compared with the July 2024-released OnePlus Nord 4, we are quite near the possible launch time frame for the OnePlus Nord 5 smartphone. Also, its pricing is speculated to be around INR 30,000 in the Indian market.
