One UI 9 tipped to arrive with AI-powered editing suggestions, animations in Settings Search Bar and redesigned About phone section

A few months back, the South Korean tech giant Samsung introduced its Galaxy S26 series with One UI 8.5 custom skin. Currently, the company has started the One UI 8.5 beta programme for several other Galaxy devices.
Last month, the first One UI 9 build was spotted for the Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone on Samsung servers, which suggested that the company may introduce One UI 9 alongside its next generation of foldables that are expected to debut around July.
A recent report by SammyGuru now reveals that One UI 9 may arrive with various tweaks and improvements.
One UI 9: Several changes and improvements tipped
One UI 9 is expected to introduce AI-powered editing suggestions. The editor could show smart suggestions based on the selected image. As seen in the above image, the input field appears expanded with small suggestion pills above it.
Then the company is said to improve animations in the Settings Search Bar. In the video below, it now appears to expand and collapse smoothly when you tap on it.

The next change could be seen in the About Phone section. Earlier, Samsung showed a large device image at the top, with details listed below. But according to this new report, One UI 9 may introduce a more compact design layout, where the phone image could move to the left, with details like device name, mobile number, and serial number placed beside it. Additional information, like IMEI and phone number, would appear below.
It is also said that Samsung may remove unnecessary descriptions, improve layouts and enhance animations. Since the release of One UI 9 is still months away, the readers are advised to take the above info with a pinch of salt.
