Motorola’s next flip smartphone clears the US FCC certification; Connectivity details revealed

The smartphone brand Motorola seems to be preparing towards the launch of a new flip device, as the device has bagged US FCC certification.

Motorola Flip phone: Spotted on FCC database

Motorola phone with model numbers XT2761-1, XT2761-2, XT2761-3 and XT2761V (likely the Verizon variant), and FCC ID: IHDT56AX7. The database does not reveal the moniker of the device, but it is listed in “Flip Open” and “Flip Close” modes. This suggests that this mysterious device could be a flip phone (likely the next Razr model).

Further, the listing reveals that the device supports 5G (with n41, n77 and n78 bands), WiFi 7, UWB (so it can find AirTag-style trackers and work as a digital car key), NFC (for tap-to-pay) and wireless charging. The device is revealed to include a Qualcomm modem inside.

A few months back, Motorola introduced three new flip devices in the global market: Motorola Razr 70, Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, and Motorola Razr 70 Plus. And now, the company appears to be preparing for its next flip device.

In the coming days, we may come across some more details related to this mysterious Motorola smartphone.
