Motorola Edge 70 Pro Geekbench listing confirms MediaTek chipset, Android 16 OS, and 12GB RAM

The upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro smartphone has now made its appearance on the Geekbench database, revealing a few of its key performance-related details ahead of its expected launch. Previously, its alleged first teaser poster had already surfaced online, hinting at its arrival as a new member under the Motorola Edge 70 series.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro – Geekbench Listing

As per the Geekbench database (via @yabhishekhd), the Motorola Edge 70 Pro smartphone has achieved 1727 points and 6563 points, respectively on the single-core and multi-core tests. The listing confirms that the device will run on the Android 16 operating system out of the box, and the 12GB RAM variant of the smartphone has also been revealed.

Speaking of its processor, the Geekbench listing points out that the device is powered by an octa-core ARMv8 chipset featuring a 1 + 3 + 4 architecture, comprising a prime core clocked at 3.40GHz, three performance cores operating at 3.20GHz, and four efficiency cores clocked at 2.20GHz. Additionally, the source code reveals the presence of the Mali-G720 MC8 GPU, and based on these clock speeds and GPU details, the chipset is believed to be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 SoC.

Speaking more about the device, an X user (@_intakhab_alam) has also shared its marketing poster, which confirms that the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip. A few additional details have also been revealed via the same poster, suggesting that the device will feature a Sony Lytia 710 camera for “stunning night shots”, along with AI-enhanced low-light imaging capabilities. This poster also shows the same colour variants that have been teased earlier on Flipkart’s microsite.

Previously, the same “stunning night shots” tagline had already appeared on the Flipkart microsite, hinting at improved night photography performance on the upcoming smartphone. In terms of colour options, Flipkart’s microsite has revealed a blue variant with a tailored-fabric finish, an olive green shade with a satin-luxe finish, and a white variant featuring a marble-like finish.
