[Update: Spotted on BIS, Hinted to be Lenovo Legion Y70 Rebrand] Motorola Edge 70 Max Marketing Material Leaked Online; Tipped to be Powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC

Update on 23rd June 2026 at 5:54 PM – Via a tip received from a tipster, it has now been revealed that the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Max smartphone will also be launching in the Indian market. This is because its alleged model number – ‘XT2611’ has now been listed on the Indian BIS certification database.

Furthermore, as highlighted by the tipster, the model number variant ‘XT2611-1’ reportedly belongs to the Lenovo Legion Y70 smartphone, which was also revealed to come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. Based on this, it is possible that the global and Indian units of the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Max could largely arrive with similar specifications.

However, it should be noted that Motorola has made a few changes between different market variants in the past, and most of the time, it is usually the battery size that gets changed. Because of this, it would be better to wait for an exact confirmation, which may soon be coming from the brand.

The Lenovo-owned smartphone maker – Motorola is believed to be working on its next Edge series flagship smartphone, and now, the marketing material of this upcoming device has been leaked online. Notably, along with the renders and product shots, several key specifications and features of the Motorola Edge 70 Max have also been revealed.

Based on what has been revealed, the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Max smartphone will be arriving as a premium slim-designed device and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The handset is also said to be made available in three colour choices – Onyx Black (glossy), Sage Green (matte), and Glacier Blue (hint of pearl when light catches it). The subtle Motorola batwing logo can also be spotted at the rear panel, giving it a clean and premium look.

From the leaked marketing shots, it is revealed to have a triple-camera-like rear camera module with four circular cutouts. This setup is likely to include a main camera, telephoto lens, ultra-wide camera, and an LED flash. The device is also expected to offer camera features such as portrait photography, low-light shots, action photography, portrait blur, and AI-powered photo tools.

On the display side, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is said to feature a flat AMOLED-like display with razor-thin bezels on all four sides. A centered punch-hole selfie camera can also be seen on the front. Display-related features such as Always-on Display, live wallpapers, and animated themes have also been mentioned. A premium tempered glass cover has also been hinted.

In terms of durability, the upcoming smartphone is revealed to carry MIL-STD 810H certification, while water and dust resistance has also been suggested. However, its exact IP rating has not yet been revealed. The same goes for wireless charging as well, as the publication claims that the feature will be made available on the device. Fast wired charging is also expected, but its exact charging wattage still remains unknown.

One of the major highlights revealed from the leaked material is the new AI assistant named Qira. It is expected to bring several AI-powered features including smart photo edits, text summarization, image search, real-time translation, and conversational AI features. Motorola’s Moto AI tools are also expected to be deeply integrated within the device.

Since most of the design details, features, and specifications have now been revealed through the leaked marketing material, Motorola may soon make an official announcement regarding the Edge 70 Max smartphone. However, the exact launch date is still under wraps.
