HMD Pulse Series Devices Likely to be Replaced With New Thunder Series, HMD Thunder and Thunder Pro Specs Also Leaked

As per a detail shared online, HMD Global – the Finnish tech company, might be looking to replace its Pulse series handsets with the new Thunder series. Also, under this Thunder series, two new devices are likely to launch soon, as their renders and key specs have also been shared online.

This detail comes from a tipster having the username @smashx_60 on X. In a post, he shared that “HMD Pulse Family is official death, HMD Thunder Family will be replacing”. Further, in a following post, he also shared the renders and key specs of this new upcoming series.

As per the details mentioned by him, the HMD Thunder is said to feature a 6.67″ FHD+ HID OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and on the camera side, it may pack a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera setup, along with an 8MP front-facing camera. The device is also expected to be powered by the Unisoc T620 chipset clocked at 2.2GHz, and will likely run on Android 16. It may be offered in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB storage variants, and could also be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 20W charging support. Other key specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, full-view display, 3.5mm audio jack, and mono speaker. Baby Blue, Midnight Black, and Peach Pink are said to be its expected colour choices.

Speaking about the HMD Thunder Pro, the device is also pointed out to arrive with a 6.67″ FHD+ HID OLED display supporting a 90Hz refresh rate. For the cameras, it may carry a 50MP OIS main camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera at the rear, and a 50MP selfie camera at the front. This model is also said to be equipped with the Unisoc T620 2.2GHz chipset, and could be offered in 8GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage options. Regarding the battery, the Thunder Pro is likely to pack a larger 6,000mAh battery, while 20W charging support has also been mentioned.

Apart from the above-mentioned details, the HMD Thunder Pro is also suggested to come with NFC, IP65-rated protection, dual speakers, two microphones, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a metal frame. Cosmic Black, Jade Green, and Dark Bronze are expected to be the colour options for the smartphone.
Talking about the design, both devices can be seen having a pill-shaped camera deco placed horizontally in the middle of the rear panel. Two circular cutouts are placed on either side of the camera module, while an LED flash is positioned in the middle.
The tipster has not mentioned anything about the launch timeline yet, but the launch could possibly take place soon since the renders and key specs of the devices have now been leaked online.
