A new HMD smartphone with moniker ‘HMD ARC’ has made it to the Geekbench database as well as on the TDRA certification platform. Via its listing, some key specs have also been pointed out.

HMD ARC – Geekbench and TDRA Listings
It is the 4GB RAM variant of the HMD ARC smartphone that has appeared on the Geekbench database, and it has achieved benchmark scores of 201 points and 725 points respectively on the single-core and multi-core tests. It is also revealed to have an octa-core processor with 1.60 GHz primary clock speed, and its motherboard is suggested to have a codename – ‘Nyx’. [Could be powered by Unisoc’s SC9863A1 SoC or a newer version.]
Coming to its TDRA listing, the smartphone carries the model number – ‘TA-1697’, and its moniker has been mentioned on the certification platform. It has been certified with the equipment registration number – ‘ER39183/24’. The device has been categorized as a ‘Mobile Phone’, with certification validity till the 8th of December 2027.
In related news, this device was also spotted earlier on the CQC certification platform too, which had revealed a 10W wired fast charge support, just like the May 2024-released HMD Aura.
Apart from the above details, nothing much is known about this HMD smartphone and we will probably have to wait until more updates arrive to know more. However, based on what has been reported/suggested through updates, this device is a budget or entry-level offering from the brand and may be following the HMD Aura model. [To note: It could also potentially be the rumored Aura 2 model as per other reports].
