Google reported to introduce a complete gradient redesign for Gmail and other Google Workspace apps

The Google Workspace apps were previously seen, including all four Google colours in icons, and there was also a page container available for the apps. According to a report by @9to5Google, these mandates will now be completely gone, and the Google Workspace apps will get a complete gradient redesign.

The Google Drive icon earlier included green, yellow, blue and red colours. The new icon now includes just the blue, green and yellow colours, while the exterior includes rounded triangles.

Like before, Google’s editor apps each use a single predominant colour. The Sheets and Slides app icons switch to landscape. Earlier, the Google Meet icon included all four iconic colours of Google, but now the video camera is in Yellow only. Google Chat icon features a pill-shaped message bubble, green being the predominant colour.

The Gmail icon includes the M envelope shape that is a bit more rounded. Red is the predominant colour, with only a little bit of yellow, green and blue. The Google Calendar icon returns to the older design with a skeuomorphic reference to the flip-style object, and classic blue colour.

There’s still a checkmark for Google Tasks with Blue being the primary colour. The page background for the Google Keep icon is removed, focusing on the light bulb in Yellow colour. The Google Voice icon retains the same shape as before, but everything is more rounded, while the icon is in Green colour.

The Google Forms icon features multiple-choice bubbles, with purple remaining the main colour. The Google Sites icon features a light blue colour, with a horizontal switch.
