While we are still far away from the expected arrival of the Pixel 11a, a tipster has now shared several key details concerning the upcoming smartphone through his Telegram channel.

Google Pixel 11a – Key Specifications Tipped
This latest information comes from Mystic Leaks, who points out that the upcoming smartphone is said to carry the internal codename ‘Formosan’, which was also recently spotted in the beta version of the Phone by Google application.
Speaking of its regional model numbers, the Pixel 11a is tipped to carry the ‘G005X’ model number for the global markets, ‘GP1BL’ for Japan, and ‘G4XQ2’ for North America.
Regarding its colour choices, the upcoming smartphone could be offered in Black, Green, Purple, and Silver finishes, which will likely have Obsidian, Olive, Frost, and Fog as their marketing names, respectively.
Under the hood, the Google Pixel 11a is tipped to use the same Tensor G6 chipset expected to power the flagship Pixel 11 series. The processor carries the internal codename ‘Malibu’ and could be accompanied by Google’s Titan M3 security chip, internally referred to as ‘Epic’.
Graphics are said to be handled by the PowerVR DXT-48-1536 GPU, while the device could use MediaTek’s M90 modem instead of a Samsung Exynos modem. The smartphone is also tipped to come equipped with 8GB of RAM.
Speaking more, the Pixel 11a could feature a 6.3″ AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1080 × 2424 pixels and a variable refresh rate ranging between 60Hz and 120Hz. The panel is claimed to deliver up to 2,250 nits of HDR brightness and a peak brightness of up to 3,350 nits.
Regarding its battery, the tipster has mentioned a minimum capacity of 4,870mAh. This would be smaller than the battery offered with the Pixel 10a, although its final advertised typical capacity could be slightly higher than the minimum value mentioned in the leak.
Moving on to its cameras, the Pixel 11a is tipped to receive a new front-facing camera carrying the internal codename ‘Dokkaebi’.
Also to add, the tipster claims that Google has improved the Face Unlock functionality on the upcoming Pixel 11 series. The updated feature is said to offer faster and more accurate authentication, along with improved security and better performance under low-light conditions.
Lastly, the tipster has also mentioned that the expected Pixel 12a carries the internal codename ‘Marmoset’. Since the device is still a long way away from its expected debut, this detail should be taken with a pinch of salt. Earlier leaks have pointed towards primate-themed codenames for the Pixel 12 lineup, making the Marmoset name appear consistent with the naming theme.
