Google Fitbit Air’s India Launch Hinted as Model Number ‘GW968’ Appears on BIS Platform
After Google launched its latest Fitbit Air fitness tracker back in May this year, the device has now received the BIS certification in India. The listing confirms that the fitness tracker will also be making its way to the Indian market.

The Google Fitbit Air, carrying the model number ‘GW968’, has been listed on the BIS certification database. While the moniker has not been mentioned in the listing, a Google support page confirms that this model number belongs to the already available Fitbit Air. It received the grant/inclusion on the database today, the 10th of June 2026.

Speaking more, the BIS listing was first spotted by folks over at 91Mobiles. Google is yet to officially announce its India launch, but the certification suggests that the fitness tracker may soon break cover in the country. Specs-wise, it is expected to bring the same set of features as the model launched recently in the global market.
