Alleged Redmi K80 Pro’s key specifications leak reveals 2K OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, and more

Today, tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to share the key specifications of a mysterious smartphone. The tipster claimed in the post’s comments section that he could be talking about a “sub-series” phone, which sparked rumours that he could be talking about the Redmi K80 Pro. Here is a look at the leaked specs of the alleged device.

The leak suggests that the current engineering prototype of the alleged Redmi K80 Pro features a flat OLED panel that produces a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the device has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset and a 5,500mAh battery. The phone will offer 120W fast charging. The leaker did not mention anything else about the device.

According to previous reports, the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro will both have a 2K OLED display, a metal middle frame, and a glass back. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively, are likely to power the two devices.

At present, there is no information about the launch timeframe of the Redmi K80 series. Speculation suggests that Xiaomi plans to unveil the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro in China in October. Therefore, it is likely that the K80 series may go official in November on the home market.
