The listing also points out the Qualcomm QTI SM8850 chipset, corresponding to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC’s 8-core variant featuring six CPU cores clocked at 3.63GHz and two cores clocked at 4.61GHz, alongside the Adreno 840 GPU. Additionally, approximately 14.9GB of RAM has been detected, suggesting a 16GB RAM variant.
Also to note, the device’s moniker has not been revealed through the Geekbench listing, but tipster Anvin has suggested that it could be the iQOO Neo 12 for China.
Speaking more about the upcoming devices, tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared that iQOO is working on a smartphone carrying the model number of ‘PD2618’, corresponding to ‘V2618A’ in China, and a tablet with the model number of ‘DPD2653’. According to him, this device could launch in India as the iQOO 16R with a different model number, while both devices are reportedly expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. So if this is true, it would follow the earlier approach of introducing the iQOO Neo 11 globally under the iQOO 15R moniker.
Furthermore, he added that these two devices will likely feature similar gaming features to those of the recently china launched iQOO 16 and iQOO Pad Ultra. These include Vulkan shadows in Delta Force, which are said to improve real-time shadows while reducing the load on the chipset, and dedicated optimisation for Infinity Nikki to offer smoother gameplay.
