TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones Review: For sure one of the best budget friendly headphones

TOZO- the company which is widely famous for launching some really advanced audio products with super classy design and hi-tech features. Well, we recently reviewed TOZO’s Open Buds TWS to be a heavy contender with its amazing design, sound quality, battery life, and much more. Today I have the TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Wireless headphones which are currently available for purchase at the Tozo store for Rs.4,300. I am going to share my experience with the features, design, and sound quality offered by these headphones at their budget-friendly pricing.

Packaging

Well first let’s talk about the packaging, well these headphones arrived with simple and minimal packaging but it yet looked subtle. Inside you will find the TOZO HT2 headphones kept in a folded manner accompanied by a quick guide, user manual, 3.5mm analog audio cable, and USB-Type C cable. Except for the Black variant, these headphones also arrive in Blue, Pink White, and Khaki color variants.

Design

These headphones arrive with an over-ear design which looks quite modern and also gives a premium feel. Left and right markings are also present on either side with big and bold letters which makes it super easy to distinguish. The branding of the company name can also be seen at the center of both sides. The headphones arrive with a foldable design which makes them easy to carry while traveling but these headphones arrive without a case which makes it a bit difficult to carry around.

Well if you are someone who loves comfort then this is just the right product for you. The headphones arrive with soft ear pads that help in air circulation and prevent heat and moisture buildup around the ears. The over-ear design surrounds the ear fully and if you also wear glasses like me then these headphones will turn out to be super comfortable as the earcups will press against your head and not your ears which didn’t cause any problems while wearing glasses. The soft pad is not only included on headphones but is also present at the top which avoids discomfort in using these headphones for a long time.

The right headphone features a power on/off and plays/pause button, volume button, AUX audio jack, Type-C charging port, and Active Noise cancellation dipswitch. It arrives with a multi-angle folding feature and adjustable headbeam which will ensure a personalized fit for every user.

Well for someone like me who avoids using headphones for a longer period due to discomfort, I liked the overall design of these Tozo HT2 headphones. Comfort is for sure the most highlighted feature as you can use it for an extended period without being uncomfortable while the ergonomic and lightweight design makes these headphones a great companion for prolonged use and also while traveling.

Connectivity and App support

Connecting these headphones to your device is very easy. You need to press the power button on the right headphone for 3 seconds and the headphones will be turned on. Turn on the Bluetooth on your device and check the list of available devices. You will see Tozo HT2 on the list, click on the name and your device will be instantly paired with these headphones. The headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

To experience the sound quality and some amazing sound features on these headphones you need to connect them with the TOZO companion app. Initially, I did face a problem in connecting these headphones with the companion app but after restarting the headphones, I was able to connect it with the app. After connecting to the app you will find 6 types of Noise Cancellation modes and 16 types of EQ sound modes that will let you explore the various sound features on these headphones. Not only this the app also helps in knowing about any firmware update available for the headphones.

TOZO HT2 supports the TOZO App for both Android and iOS devices.

Battery Life

The headphones are backed by a 500 mAh battery. With ANC on the headphones are said to offer a battery life of up to 40 hours and with ANC off up to 60 hours. These headphones give you the option to choose between wired and wireless connections. Hence it can be used either way as per the user’s preference, also there was no difference in sound quality while switching to either mode.

These headphones took 2 hours to get fully charged and the same charging time was claimed by the brand. When you plug in these headphones for charging a red light turns on indicating that the headphones are being charged while the red light turns to white when the headphones are completely charged.

Features and Performance

The headphones feature a 40mm dynamic driver and are equipped with Tozo ORIGX Acoustic 2.0 technology that delivers Hi-Res audio. It offers an ultra-wide frequency response range of 16Hz to 44.1kHz. The headphones support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity that covers approx. 10 m range. These headphones are equipped with triple microphones with ENC that ensure call clarity. Tozo HT2 has a noise cancellation depth of 38 dB.

Now if I come to the performance of these headphones, first let’s talk about the Hybrid Active Noise cancellation feature which works amazing on these headphones as I noticed that this feature helped in eliminating the surrounding noise while I used it outside and while using these headphones at home the noises of fan was also eliminated. Although one thing I noticed is that the sounds with high frequency were not properly eliminated that was not a deal breaker for me as I have not yet come across a headphone that offers hybrid active noise cancellation like TOZO HT2 at this price range.

Apart from this, the 6 noise cancellation modes on the Tozo companion app enhance the listening experience as per your preference. The mode that I personally liked was the adaptive mode as it automatically adjusted the level of noise canceling based on the background noise.

If I talk about the call clarity, the headphones are equipped with 3 mics with ENC which is claimed to offer clarity while communicating on a call. When I used these headphones for calling inside my house the call clarity was amazing as the person on the side was very clearly audible while the person could also listen to me clearly without any background noise and the results were the same when I made calls outside while traveling. One hindrance was that while being on a call or listening to music or videos I was unaware of the ambient sound due to noise cancellation but the people around me or next to me were able to listen to the sound of music and also the voice of the other person to whom the call was made.

These headphones offer Hi-Res audio which helps in providing balanced deep bass, good sound quality a clear audio. The 16 EQ modes for the headphones that are available on the Tozo app help greatly in listening to music or video based on your preference. Although these modes are preset on the app the users have to select from this preset list only.

The headphones arrive with an IPX8 rating for dust, sweat, and water resistance which makes them an amazing companion even for workout sessions.

Conclusion

Well on taking a look at the overall design, sound quality, and features of Tozo HT2 headphones, I can say that if a user is looking for headphones that offer some highly advanced features including Active Noise cancellation, and is also not out of their budget then this is just the device to go for. Based on my experience I would give these headphones 8 out of 10.
