OnePlus Buds Pro 2 vs Nothing Ear 2: Which is the Best Earbuds?

After Nothing Ear (1), the London-based company unveiled Nothing Ear (2) recently adopted the same transparent design as its predecessor. Let’s compare the previously launched OnePlus Buds Pro 2 with the Nothing Ear (2) and find the best earbuds among them.

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 is equipped with a pair of 11mm woofer and 6mm tweeter dual drivers which has a frequency of 10Hz~40KHz, the Nothing Ear 2 on the other hand comes equipped with a pair of 11.6 mm dynamic drivers with a frequency of upto 195KHz.

Regarding the noise cancellation feature, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 earbuds have a noise cancellation feature that will reduce upto 38dB of unwanted sounds while the Nothing Ear 2 earbuds will be able to reduce upto 40dB of unwanted sounds with its noise cancellation feature.

Both the devices have three microphones each on two of their earbuds with which its users can make calls hands-free. The two devices also support a Bluetooth version of 5.3 with touch controls provided on both of them. It should also be noted that the Nothing Ear (2) offers a Bluetooth range of 15 meters while the OnePlus earbuds only have a Bluetooth range of 10 meters.

Now speaking of its battery life, with the active noise cancellation feature turned off, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will be able to give a battery life of 9 hours which can be expanded to upto 39 hours with the charging case. For the Nothing Ear 2, the device will be able to give its users a battery life of 6.3 hours that can be expanded to upto 36 hours. With active noise cancellation too, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will offer a total battery life of 25 hours of which the earbuds will have a battery life of 6 hours. The Nothing Ear (2) on the other hand only has a total battery life of 22.5 hours with noise cancellation turned on and the earbuds alone will only be able to offer a battery life of 4 hours.

The OnePlus device for its charging case only has a weight of 47.3 grams and a weight of 4.9 grams for its earbuds. In comparison to this, the Nothing Ear 2 has its charging case weighing about 51.9 grams, and its earbuds weight 4.5 grams.

Both the devices are now priced at the same offer price of Rs. 9,999. However the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 has an actual list price of Rs 13,999 which is higher than that of the Nothing Ear (2) which is originally priced at Rs. 12,999.

So in comparison, the Nothing Ear 2 offers the best audio features and comes at a lower list price. However, it should be noted that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 comes with better battery life and this makes it difficult to title one of them as the best. Both the devices are great products with premium features on them, but if you want a device with the best audio features, then the Nothing Ear (2) should be your choice.
