Uber plans to begin reminding passengers to wear seat belts

Uber Technologies come up with a new feature that aims to motivate passengers to buckle up.

Ride-sharing organization Uber Technologies schedules to start recalling passengers to wear seat belts by alarming their phones and sending riders alerts due to a stake in U.S. traffic demise.

Uber arive its recent feature that inaugurate on Tuesday purposes to warn riders to buckle up through a unique jingle from the driver’s phone.

Previous week, the National Highway Traffic Safety calculated that U.S. traffic demises soared 12 per cent in the early 9 months of 2021 to 31,720 which is the greatest number assassinated in U.S. since 2006.

Kristin Smith, Uber’s head of Global Road Safety Policy told that Uber needs to do its role in enabling curb these statistics and understands that timing might be the crucial element to making this feature as beneficial as feasible.

The agent told recently of 22,215 passenger vehicle occupants assassinated in 2019 in which 47 per cent passengers were not wearing seat belts.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found recently about 80 per cent of people polled do not ever buckle up in short trip.

It is great news that Uber is coming up with new features and technology for the safety and insurance of passengers.
