Motorola customers to receive 5G update for their devices by first week of November

According to recent updates Motorola customers are to receive 5G updates for their devices by the first week of November. Recently the government of India asked phone manufacturers to bring in the 5G experience.

Motorola has confirmed that it plans to update all of its 5G-capable phones for Indian networks by the first week of November 2022.

The Lenovo-owned company also confirmed that it supports both SA (Reliance Jio) and NSA (Airtel and Vi) 5G modes and that an update for two of its phones, the Edge 30 Fusion and Edge 30 Ultra, has already been released.

Motorola hopes to have completed the update cycle for all of its phones by the first week of November 2022.

In a statement shared with the press, Motorola said that all of its 5G phones, “have hardware support for 11 to 13 5G bands including all 8 Sub 6 GHz 5G bands that have been announced in India.”

It reiterated that the update has already been received by the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Edge 30 Fusion, and that “other Motorola 5G devices will be receiving the updates in subsequent weeks, with completion targeted for the first week of November 2022.”

The update will be available for the Moto G62 5G, G82 5G, Edge 30, and G71 5G by October 25th. The update will be available for the Edge 30 Pro, G51 5G, Edge 20 Pro, Edge 20, and Edge 20 Fusion on November 5, 2022.

In addition to Motorola, Apple and Samsung have stated that they will update their devices by the end of 2022.
