Mangatoon app’s data leaked of over 23 million of its accounts!

Mangatoon, an application for reading comics has suffered violation of its data which has leaked the sensitive information of over 23 million user accounts. The hacker stole the data from an unsecured server named Elasticsearch database. Due to the data breach, the names, email addresses, genders, social media accounts and many other sensitive details of the 23M accounts have been leaked.

The hacker, named ‘pompompurin’ said that they have stole the data from an unsecured Elasticsearch server. Pompompurin have assured that they will probably leak the database publicly. Also, the hacker has been involved in other famous data breaches too. Pompompurin has send fake cyberattack emails from the FBI’s Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP) and has successfully stealed the customer’s data.

Mangatoon is a global app for reading comics of Manga and Novel on mobile phones. Manga are the comics or graphic novels of Japan. Consequently, mangatoon offers various comics from Action, Romance to Horror and more daily. Mangatoon is an application for reading comics and manga on mobile phones.
