OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro Receive the OxygenOS 13.1.0.586 Update in India: February 2024 Android Security Patch
OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone maker, has started to roll-out the OxygenOS 13.1.0.586 update to its 2020-released OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphone devices. This update will be bringing the February 2024 Android security patch to both these devices.

OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro – OxygenOS 13.1.0.586 Update
The OxygenOS 13.1.0.586 update that is currently rolling out for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones has the firmware versions – “IN2011_13.1.0.586(EX01)” and IN2021_13.1.0.586(EX01) respectively, and as mentioned, this update will be integrating the February 2024 Android security patch to the two devices. Along with this, the Background stream feature will also be removed from the Smart Sidebar.

Do note that this update is only for the Indian users of the two smartphones and being incremental in nature, a phase-wise roll-out has been scheduled. Some users might have already received it, while for others, it will be made available with the broader roll-out that begins in a few days. Feedback can be submitted on the pop-up window which appears on dialing “*#800#” on the Google Dialer.
