OriginOS 6 April 2026 Update Rolls Out in China: Vivo and iQOO Eligible Devices List Revealed, New AI and Smart Travel Features Added
Vivo has announced the rollout of the OriginOS 6 April 2026 Update in the China region, which began on April 2nd 2026 and is expected to be completed this month.
Here is what is new in the April 2026 OriginOS 6 Update
Via this April 2026 update, those who use Amap for bus or subway directions, the route progress, and exit information will now show up directly in the phone’s notifications and “Atomic Island” (the dynamic notification area at the top of the screen). Thus, removing the need to keep the map app open to see where you are going. Furthermore, those who use Alipay for charging their EV cars will now be able to see the battery percentage and charging status right at the top of the screen in the Atomic Island. On top of this, your recent payments and daily spending through the digital wallet will now conveniently pop up in the top notification island.
Speaking more about the update, the Blue Heart Little V AI assistant is receiving another upgrade in Circle to Search, via which users will be able to check food calorie intake information directly from food images. Along with this, another addition is for those who cannot easily understand health check reports; a new medical report interpretation function has been added in the Little V AI assistant, which will explain your health status in plain, simple language from uploaded report images.
Users will now be able to add larger photo album widgets (in 4×4 and 4×2 sizes) on the home screen. Moreover, the music player and search bar widgets now have a premium, semi-transparent “frosted glass” look. Also, when you will pull down the control center from the lock screen, the background will smoothly zoom out, thus making the transition more fluid and premium.
The phone will be able to tell when you are driving and will display a countdown for upcoming red lights at the top of your screen (requires Bluetooth/screen casting to your car), even if you are not actively using the GPS navigation. You will find it much easier to search for and find the specific AI helper you need, as the “Agent Square” (where you find different AI tools) has been reorganized. AI assistant in vivo Vision is now better at remembering the context of your conversation, allowing you to ask follow-up questions naturally without repeating yourself. Those visually imapired, the “TalkBack” screen reader feature has been optimized so that menus and buttons are easier to navigate.
