Hacker hacked Yandex Taxi and initiated huge traffic jam with Yandex Taxis in Moscow’s Kuzutov Prospect

A video surfaced on Twitter yesterday that showed a wide traffic jam in Kutuzov Prospect in Moscow. This traffic jam happened when all of Yandex Taxi gathered at the area. This happened after some threat actors hacked Yandex Taxi.

The Twitter post by the Twitter handle @runews mentioned that someone hacked Yandex Taxi. They ordered all of the taxis to the Kuzutov Prospect area in Moscow. Following that, a huge number of Yandex Taxis ended up in all the corners of the area. The visuals would make one think they are watching a James Bond movie.

Although the prospect and motive of the threat actors is unknown, the act surely creates a scenario of chaos and disturbance. The act might come off as a prank to many and initiated dynamic reactions by netizens.

A Twitter user commented on the video that the scene is similar to the situation in Grand Theft Auto IV when it runs out of memory for vehicle assets. In that scenario, the game only loads Taxis. The Twitter user shared a screenshot of the game that is similar to the scene in the Kuzutov Prospect area.

Some users also tried drawing attention to the fact that the act is just going to harm common people in their daily prospects. The user mentioned that Government officials and businessman can pass through the middle lane in the Kuzutov Prospect which allow vehicles with special plates and emergency lights to enter.
