Qualcomm and Xiaomi Signs Multi-Year Agreement Continuing the 15-Year Long Collaboration

The American semi-conductor brand – Qualcomm and the Chinese consumer electronics brand – Xiaomi has signed a multi-year agreement, marking the continuation of their 15-year long collaboration. Various device categories are covered within this agreement, and together the two brands aim to bring advancements with respect to on-device AI.

Qualcomm x Xiaomi – Collaboration Continues

As mentioned, both Qualcomm and Xiaomi have signed a multi-year agreement and have decided to continue their long-standing 15-year collaboration. Notably, the 15-year collaboration of Qualcomm with Xiaomi has actually helped the latter to become the largest smartphone brand in the global market, and over millions of Xiaomi products have already been launched during the 15 years with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chips onboard.

With the newly signed agreement, it has been officially confirmed that Xiaomi’s upcoming flagships will continue to use the Qualcomm 8-series chipsets for multiple generations to come. Moreover, Xiaomi is also revealed to be among the first brands to adopt the next generation Snapdragon 8-series chip of Qualcomm. Apart from smartphones, the agreement also covers various other product categories too – such as wearables, smart home, and automotive. Furthermore, the two brands together are also planning on advancing on-device AI across edge devices as well.

In related news, Qualcomm has officially announced its Snapdragon Summit 2025 dates, and it will be conducted from the 23rd to the 25th of September 2025 in Maui, Hawaii. The event will probably mark the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, and Xiaomi’s next 16 series smartphones which are going to feature the mentioned Qualcomm Snapdragon chip is said to be unveiled in late September 2025 – in China.
