Xiaomi HyperOS 3 New Update Released in China With Changes to Gallery, Notes, Recorder, Family Guard, Clock, and More

Xiaomi has officially shared a new HyperOS 3 upgrade for the China region, and this latest update brings several improvements and fixes for system apps and features. The brand has shared changes for Gallery, Notes, Recorder, Family Guard, Clock, and a few other system areas.

Xiaomi HyperOS 3 – Latest Upgrade Announcement

As per the details shared, Xiaomi Gallery is receiving a new half-frame film watermark feature, which comes with fixed layout rules and is said to help users save exclusive memories. This feature will be available in Xiaomi Gallery – Editor with version 2.3.0.8.3 and above.

The Notes app has received optimised animation smoothness in several scenarios. Further, the issue where voice note recording displayed abnormally in some scenarios, along with the issue where the note creation record occasionally disappeared and where some note text failed to load in certain scenarios, has also been fixed. Users will have to update the Notes mobile/tablet app to version 2.4.0.98 and above, and the Notes PC app to version 2.4.1.0 and above to receive the new fixes.

Next is the Recorder app, which has also received several bug fixes, including the issue where voice-to-text conversion failed in some scenarios, the issue where the recorder floating window occasionally flashed, the abnormal phone cut animation issue, and the issue where, after tapping a notification to join a meeting in some scenarios, users were unable to view the linked project normally. To get all these bug fixes, users will have to update the Recorder app to version 7.9.5.302 and above.

Also in the update, the page loading speed has been optimised, and browsing is also said to be smoother for the Family Guard app. Along with this, the issue where family members could not be invited in some scenarios and the issue where some pages showed incomplete content when the font size was set too large have also been fixed. These changes will be available with the Family Guard app version 13.04.29.000 and above.

Coming to the Clock app, Xiaomi has fixed the issue where the “Xiaoai Wake-up Bell” setting failed in some scenarios. The issue where the stopwatch timing page displayed abnormally in certain scenarios has also been fixed. These changes will be available with the Clock app version 16.10.0 and above.

More improvements have also been added with this HyperOS 3 upgrade announcement. Xiaomi has optimised the “Travel Assistant” suggestion reminder delay issue, extending the reminder method from “high-speed rail departure” to “boarding time.” The brand has also fixed the issue where, after the “Xiaomi Hyper Island” card in the notification bar was successfully added in some scenarios, the “Xiaomi Hyper Island” still appeared as unavailable.

Apart from these, Xiaomi has fixed the issue where thumbnails displayed abnormally when screenshots were taken continuously in some scenarios. The issue where email content displayed abnormally in certain scenarios has also been fixed.

As always, Xiaomi has also added a warm reminder, mentioning that if users have any system suggestions, they can share their feedback via Xiaomi Community. The company has also stated that it will continue improving the overall experience.
