Vivo X100 – New OriginOS 6 Software Update
As per the details shared online, the latest software update for the Vivo X100 smartphone carries the firmware version of ‘PD2309F_EX_A_16.2.15.2.W30’ and has a downloadable package size of 345MB. It is based on the Android 16 operating system, and its rollout has started for Indian users.
Speaking about the changes, the new OriginOS 6 update brings the July 2026 Google security patch to the Vivo X100 for improving the system security of the device. The power-saving strategy has also been optimised, and this is pointed out to improve its battery life.

For gamers, the performance of third-party games has been optimised to offer an enhanced gaming experience. Furthermore, the compatibility of third-party applications has also been improved, thereby fixing the occasional issue which caused certain apps to not work properly.
Installing this software update will not delete or modify the user data stored on the device, however, it would be better to create a backup before proceeding with the installation. During the upgrade process, additional power may be consumed and the device temperature could also increase temporarily, because of which Vivo advises to keep the smartphone connected to a charger. The temperature is said to return to normal shortly after the upgrade is completed.
The downloaded installation package will also be automatically deleted after the update has been installed. As the software update is likely being rolled out in a phased manner, probably it could take some time to reach all Vivo X100 users in the country. Stay tuned for more updates!
