The Chinese consumer electronics maker – Vivo has now updated its China-specific OriginOS custom skin and the new May 2025 updates have made the system smoother and more advanced for its users.

Vivo’s OriginOS Custom Skin Updated With May 2025 Updates
With the new May 2025 updates, Vivo has brought the industry’s first instant ticket grabbing engine on OriginOS – offering stronger system computing power support with a 36% increased speed. Desktop folder entry/exit, negative one screen desktop, and more support interaction interruption now, which will be greatly improving the interaction efficiency and thereby offer a smoother user experience. The design has also now been made smoother, and it will look comfortable – with the Global G2 rounded corners. A better visual experience is guaranteed and the self-developed G2 curve algorithm will improve the comfort and uniformity of the rounded corners in multiple scenes.
AI Magic Mobile Photo Re-creation, AI Image Expansion, Xiao V Suggestions, Xiao V Intimate Reading in Dialects, Xiao V AI Various Image Styles, and Xiao V Phone Assistant are all part of the May 2025 updates. Finally, Live Photos has been added with flexible editing options, videos to live photos conversion, and live photos support on Moments. Apart from these, a few other updates, feature additions, and optimizations with respect to the design, battery maintenance, safety, connectivity, and more have also been brought to the OriginOS custom skin.
About its availability, Vivo’s X-series, S-series, Y-series and iQOO’s digital/number series, Neo-series, and Z-series eligible smartphone devices (mentioned in the image) will be getting these latest May 2025 updates on the OriginOS custom skin.
