Samsung is expected to roll out the stable One UI 9 update to the Galaxy S26 series soon, and so far, the brand has been rolling out beta updates for these devices. Now, a user on X has reported receiving another One UI 9 beta update on the Galaxy S26 Ultra in India, bringing several bug fixes along with the latest August 2026 security patch.

Galaxy S26 Series One UI 9 Beta 5 Update
According to the screenshot shared by the user, the latest update arrives with One UI 9.0 based on Android 17 and carries the ZZH6 firmware version. The update weighs 1,127.33MB and also bumps the Android security patch level to August 5th 2026.
The build versions mentioned in the screenshot are S948BXXU4ZZH6 / S948BOXM4ZZH6 / S948BXXU4BZH6 and have been identified as the fifth One UI 9 beta update for the Galaxy S26 series, with reports confirming its rollout in India and Korea.

Speaking of the changes, the latest beta fixes an issue where the Settings app could freeze or display a white screen while accessing certain menus and also addresses an issue with the lock-screen camera widget that could cause it to launch slowly or display a black screen.
The bottom floating bar in the Phone app which was not displaying correctly, as well as another bug that could temporarily show a blank screen while opening the Recent files list in the My Files app has been addressed via this update.
Apart from this, Samsung has addressed an issue where 1×1 shortcuts could not be added to the bottom bar of the Home screen. The preview screen position in Video Editor and Photo Editor could also previously become misaligned or flicker, and this has now been fixed.
Another fix addresses intermittent screen flickering under certain conditions, while Wi-Fi connection errors have also been fixed along with improvements to overall connection stability.
After installing the update, users can also update Samsung apps to their latest available versions.
Samsung had originally introduced the One UI 9 beta programme for the Galaxy S26 series back in May, with India being among the supported markets.
With the fifth beta update now being rolled out with the August security patch and several bug fixes, the Galaxy S26 series appears to be moving closer to receiving its stable One UI 9 update.
