Samsung Galaxy S21 (Verizon) receives One UI 7 update in US

Samsung’s One UI 7 upgrade based on Android 15 is now available for the Galaxy S21 5G smartphone at Verizon in the US. The carrier initiated the rollout yesterday in the US market.

The update arrives with software version AP3A.240905.015.A2.991USQUEHYDA, and the update includes the April 2025 security patch along with new features and improvements.

Home screen
- Make folders bigger: You can expand the size of folders on the Home screen
- Long-press a folder, then select Enlarge to expand the folder size
Now Bar
- Now, Bar providesthe information you need directly on the lock screen without needing to unlock your phone
- You can choose which information you want to display. Go to Settings> Lock screen and AOD> Select Now Bar> enable or disable live notifications you want to show on your lock screen.
AI Select
- AI Select intuitively recommends actions based on selected content. You can use it to call numbers, find addresses, enhance images, and more
- Quickly select AI Select from the Edge Panel> select the area you want to search> and choose an action from the recommended actions
Gemini
- With Google Gemini, you can speak to Gemini directly by simply long-pressing the side key. Once Gemini is launched, you can ask any question, such as “Find an Italian restaurant with outdoor seating in New York City.” Gemini will pull up the recommendations for you.
- You can launch the Gemini app by selecting it in the app tray.
