Samsung Galaxy F23 5G now getting May 2025 security patch update in India

Samsung has now released a new update for the Galaxy F23 5G smartphone. The update is currently rolling out in the India region with One UI 6.1, based on Android 14. The version number for this update is E236BXXSAEYE1/E236BODMAEYE1/E236BXXSAEYE1, and the total size is 293.05 MB.
According to the changelog, the update brings device stability improvements and bug fixes. While it mentions the addition of new or enhanced features, it does not specify what they are. After downloading the update, I noticed that the device is performing slightly better. There was no noticeable lag after updating. However, the device took quite a while to reboot, but it has been functioning well since then.
To update your device, simply head over to the Settings page, then tap on Software Update. It will check for any available updates, which you can then download and install. Just to note, the Galaxy F23 5G was launched in 2022 and came with a promise of two years of OS upgrades and four years of security patch updates. Since it originally shipped with One UI 4.1 and is now running on One UI 6.1, its OS upgrade cycle has been completed. However, it will continue to receive security patch updates until 2026.
