OxygenOS B90P01 July SOTA Update Rollout Announced; OnePlus Pad 4 Receives July 2026 Security Patch Along With New Gaming-Focused Features and More

OnePlus, in its latest announcement, has confirmed two new software updates for its devices. One of them is the OxygenOS B90P01 July 2026 SOTA update, while the other one is the OxygenOS 16.0.9.401 update for the OnePlus Pad 4, which is currently rolling out in the Indian region.

OxygenOS B90P01 July 2026 SOTA Update

As per the changelog shared on the announcement page, the latest OxygenOS B90P01 July 2026 SOTA update brings system stability improvements. It also adds a new feature for users running OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, under which, if a photo is deleted in the Photos app, the app will now automatically move to the next photo in the direction in which the user was swiping.

The rollout of this update started on the 2nd of July 2026 itself, and it is expected to be completed by the 23rd of July 2026. Additionally, OnePlus has also shared the list of smartphones and tablets eligible for this update.

For smartphones, the firmware version is B90P01(BRB1EX01), while for tablets, it is B90P01(BRB3EX01).

OnePlus Pad 4 – OxygenOS 16.0.9.401 Update

Coming to the OnePlus Pad 4, the OxygenOS 16.0.9.401 update is currently rolling out with the firmware version OPD2514_16.0.9.401(EX01). As of now, the update is limited to the Indian region only, and other regions may likely be added soon as well.

As mentioned above, this update brings the July 2026 security patch to the device. Along with this, several new features and improvements are also part of the update.

With this update, game sound effects can now be tuned from the equalizer itself, and to use this feature, head over to the Game Assistant > Tools > Sound Boost > Equalizer.

OnePlus has also improved the Sound Boost feature to support more games and deliver custom audio enhancements.

Improved transition animations while opening and switching apps in Recent Tasks are also part of this update.

Father, after updating your tablet yu will now be able to control your laptop/computer from it and not just this, but you will also be able to unlock your PC directly from the tablet without entering the PC password.

Moreover, users can now add a backup face for device unlocking. This will help users access their device even while wearing glasses or makeup. The feature can be found in Settings > Security & Privacy > Device Unlock > Face & Fingerprint Unlock > Face > Add Backup Face.
