OnePlus 11 – OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 3 Program

Last month, the OxygenOS 14 open beta 1 and beta 2 updates were made available to the OnePlus 11 smartphone users, via the brand’s OxygenOS beta program, and now, the third beta update is available to users in the Indian and North American regions.

The update just like the previous beta versions can’t be assured to be stable, and has a few known and might have other unknown issues in it. The beta version is also bringing some improvements and optimizations too, compared to the other two versions.

Some of the upgrades include the integration of the latest October 2023 Android security patch, improvements in system stability and performance, and extended battery life. The display issues affecting widgets have also been fixed. The issue with some third-party payment apps, and also the issue that causes trouble in sharing photos from the album, has been fixed as well.

How to apply?

Indian users of the OnePlus 11 smartphone can become a part of the beta program by first applying. In order to apply, go to the device’s “Settings”, tap on “up to date”, click on the icon at the top right corner, and select Beta program. Following the necessary steps, users will be able to apply.

Within five days, the application will be reviewed, and if found eligible, the update will be rolled out in the next three days. Once the update is received on the device, users may go to “About device” in “Settings” and download the update from there.

For North American users, they will have to download the ROM upgrade zip package from OnePlus’ specified server and also will have to install an application that has been listed on the page. After downloading the zip package, copy it to the device’s internal storage and locally install it with the help of the installed app. Then, restart the device to complete the update process.

Do note that OnePlus 11 Indian user will have to ensure that their device runs on the OxygenOS CPH2447_13.1.0.591(EX01) or CPH2447_13.1.0.595(EX01) versions, and the North American users should make sure that the device is updated to OxygenOS versions – CPH2451_13.1.0.590(EX01) or CPH2451_13.1.0.591(EX01). At least a 30% battery charge and a 4GB storage should also be left within the device before updating.

Rolling Back

It is possible to roll back to the previous stable version of the OxygenOS, and Indian users, after enabling developers mode, can locally install it with the software package that is downloadable from OnePlus’ respective update page.

The North American users with the same method used to update to the beta version, can also roll back to the previous stable version. Simply download the OxygenOS stable version and install it locally.

Feedback

OnePlus 11 Indian users can submit their feedback on the pop-up menu which appears on dialing “*#800#” on the Google dialer, and the North American users can submit it directly on the update thread as comments or through the feedback form given on the page.
