OPPO Find X9 Ultra’s Indian Variant Receives May 2026 Security Patch (CPH2841_16.0.7.207) with Camera and Communication Improvements Ahead of its May 21st Launch

Update – This is most likely an update that has appeared on a retail demo store unit, as the official launch is scheduled to take place on the 21st of May. A user points out that the phone has not launched yet (“India me to launch hi 21st may ko hai”), following which the original poster clarifies that it is a “Pre launch” build. Another user also replies immediately after, mentioning that they “Just saw it in a store.”
This seems to align with the retail demo unit theory. In retail or demo environments, devices are usually unboxed, set up, and updated using large local firmware packages ahead of the official launch in order to ensure that the display units work smoothly for customers from day one. This could also explain the unusually large 9.27GB update size shown in the screen grab.

Old story continues below.
A user online has now shared that the Indian variant of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra has received a new software update with the May 2026 security patch, along with some additional fixes and improvements as well, even though the smartphone is scheduled to launch on the 21st of May.
Check out what is new in this CPH2841_16.0.7.207 update below.
Before getting into the changes, this latest update is being rolled out with the firmware version ‘CPH2841_16.0.7.207’ as per the screen grab shared by the user on X. Though the screen grab mentions the total downloadable size of the update as 9.27GB, this may not be the actual size since the update only brings a few bug fixes and the May 2026 security patch. More likely, this appears to be a sideloaded update package. The OTA rollout may follow soon, and users who have not yet received this update may get it in the coming days.
Now coming to the changelog, OPPO has improved the camera colour rendering and sharpness in order to offer more natural skin tones and softer textures. Additionally, the motion photo preview along with photo and video shooting capabilities have also been improved.
Other than the camera-related changes, communication compatibility and system stability have been improved too.
Stay tuned for more updates!
