The July 2023-launched OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone has now been announced to receive a new OxygenOS 16 update in the Indian market, and the update is currently in its roll-out phase.

OnePlus Nord 3 – OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 Update
As per the details shared by OnePlus, the OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 update is now being rolled out to the OnePlus Nord 3 smartphone users in India, and it carries the firmware version of “IN: CPH2491_16.0.5.1001(EX01)”. Adding to this, the roll-out has only been announced for the Indian region as of now, while details regarding its availability in other global regions are currently missing from the update announcement page.
Speaking about what is new, this latest update only integrates the June 2026 Android security patch and no other major feature additions or improvements have been listed. With this update announcement, the OnePlus Nord 3 has also become the first OnePlus device to receive the June 2026 Android security patch.
Looking into the update policy, the OnePlus Nord 3 was shipped with OxygenOS 13.1 based on Android 13 out of the box, and the device was promised to receive 3 major OS upgrades along with 4 years of security patches. Since the handset has already received the Android 16 OS update, which is its last major OS upgrade, it will continue to receive security patches until July of next year, that is 2027.
