A new announcement shared on the OnePlus Community has now confirmed the rollout of the July 2026 software update for both the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 13R smartphones in the Indian market. Apart from integrating the latest Android security patch, the updates also introduce several new customization, connectivity, security, and gaming-related features.

OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 13R – July 2026 Update Rolling Out in India
The latest software update for the OnePlus 15R is being rolled out with the firmware version ‘CPH2767_16.0.9.401(EX01)’, whereas the OnePlus 13R is receiving it with the ‘CPH2691_16.0.9.402(EX01)’ version number. Both updates also integrate the July 2026 Android security patch, further improving the overall system security of the devices.
Speaking of the similarities between their changelogs, both smartphones have received a wider selection of custom fingerprint icons and animations. The feature can be accessed by heading to Settings > Home screen, Lock screen & style > More > Fingerprint animation.
The transition animations shown while opening and switching between applications through Recent Tasks have also been improved. Because of this, users can expect a faster and more fluid multitasking experience on both smartphones.
OnePlus 13R – CHangelog
Also to add, OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 13R users will now be able to remotely lock and unlock their connected computers with just one tap. After connecting the smartphone to a computer remotely, users can unlock the computer directly through the phone without manually entering the computer password.
Another new security-related feature allows users to add a backup face for device unlocking. This will let users access their smartphones even when they are wearing glasses or makeup. The feature can be found under Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock > Face & fingerprint unlock > Face > Add backup face.
Regarding the OnePlus 15R, its OxygenOS 16.0.9.401 update additionally brings two gaming-focused improvements that are not mentioned in the OnePlus 13R changelog.
Following the update, OnePlus 15R users will be able to use an equalizer to fine-tune in-game sound effects and create a personalized gaming audio profile. It can be accessed through Game Assistant > Tools > Sound boost > Equalizer.
The Sound Boost feature has also been improved to support more games and offer dedicated audio enhancements for different titles. Depending on the supported game, the feature can amplify footsteps, deepen environmental sound effects, or sharpen vocals to provide more detailed in-game audio.
At this time, the latest updates are being rolled out for OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 13R users in the Indian market. Since software updates are generally released in batches, it may take some time before they reach all eligible devices.
