The OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s smartphones recently received their respective July 2026 security patch updates along with a few new features. Following the rollout, however, some users started reporting an issue which caused both smartphones to restart automatically at random intervals.
Now, OnePlus has released new OxygenOS updates for both devices with a fix for the reported random-restart issue.

OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s – Random-Restart Issue Fixed
Speaking about the OnePlus 13, the smartphone is receiving the OxygenOS 16.0.9.402 update carrying the firmware versions ‘CPH2649_16.0.9.402(EX01)’ and ‘CPH2653_16.0.9.402(EX01)’. The update is being rolled out to OnePlus 13 users in both the Indian and global markets.
Coming to the OnePlus 13s, the device is receiving the OxygenOS 16.0.9.401 update with the firmware version ‘CPH2723_16.0.9.401(EX01)’. Unlike the OnePlus 13 update, this particular rollout is currently limited to users in the Indian region.
OnePlus 13 – Random Restart Fix
It must be noted that although OnePlus has announced the rollout of these updates, they may take some time to reach all eligible devices. Therefore, users who have not received the new firmware yet may have to wait for the rollout to expand. Stay tuned for more updates!
