OnePlus has now announced the rollout of its latest OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update for the OnePlus 12 smartphone and OnePlus Pad 3 tablet, which is currently being rolled out to users in the Indian market, while its availability for other regions has not yet been revealed.
Although both devices are receiving the OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update, their changelogs are largely different, apart from the July 2026 Android security patch and the new remote PC control feature.

OnePlus 12 OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 Update
Starting with the OnePlus 12, the latest update is being rolled out in India with the firmware version ‘CPH2573_16.0.9.400(EX01)’ that integrates the July 2026 Android security patch.
Speaking of the newly added features, OnePlus 12 users can now choose from a wider selection of custom fingerprint icons and animations that can be accessed by heading to Settings > Home Screen, Lock Screen & Style > More > Fingerprint Animation.

The update also improves the transition animations while opening and switching between applications through Recent Tasks, thereby offering a faster and more fluid multitasking experience.
Regarding its Device Connect feature, users can now remotely lock their connected PC with a single tap. Once the smartphone is remotely connected to the PC, it can also be used to unlock the computer without entering its password.
The OnePlus 12 update changelog is given below.
Home Screen and Lock Screen
- Adds more custom fingerprint icons and animations.
- Improves transition animations while opening and switching apps through Recent Tasks.
Device Connect
- Adds the option to remotely lock and unlock a connected PC.
Security and Privacy
- Integrates the July 2026 Android security patch.
OnePlus Pad 3 OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 Update
Moving on to the OnePlus Pad 3, its OxygenOS 16.0.9.400 update carries the firmware version ‘OPD2415_16.0.9.400(EX01)’ for the Indian market along with July 2026 security patch and remote PC control feature.
Following the update, OnePlus Pad 3 users can connect the tablet to two sets of Bluetooth earphones simultaneously. The volume level of each connected pair can be adjusted separately, making it easier for two users to listen to the same audio content together.
The Weather app homepage will now display moonrise, moonset, and lunar-phase information, allowing users to keep track of the current lunar cycle.
Speaking more, the Categories view inside the app drawer is getting a new App Suggestions section. It will intelligently highlight frequently used applications to offer faster access.
Just like the OnePlus 12, the update also improves the transition animations while opening and switching applications through Recent Tasks. It further adds the remote PC locking and unlocking functionality.

Regarding its security features, users can now register a backup face for unlocking the tablet. This could help the device recognise the user even when their appearance changes due to glasses, makeup, or similar factors. The option can be accessed through Settings > Security & Privacy > Device Unlock > Face & Fingerprint Unlock > Face > Add Backup Face.
Users can also disable Accessibility permissions with a single tap. If an application installed from an unofficial source attempts to perform a potentially risky action, the tablet will display a warning and allow the relevant permission to be revoked immediately.
