One UI 9 tipped to arrive with Secure Lock feature to avoid unauthorised access; First One UI 9 build spotted for Galaxy A24 4G
With One UI 8.5, Samsung introduced a Lockdown mode option in the power menu. When this feature was turned on, the device would lock fully, while the fingerprint and face unlock features were disabled, screen notifications were hidden, and Smart Lock was also disabled. The only option to unlock the phone was to enter a PIN or password. The same PIN was needed to turn off or restart the phone.
It is now reported that with One UI 9, the company will be introducing a Secure Lock option (via @tarunvats33).

When you tap the Power button in the Quick Panel, your phone is securely locked, and biometrics are paused. You will need to enter PIN, password or pattern to unlock your device. It is also revealed that users can lock securely without even turning on their screen, just by pressing and holding the Volume down and side buttons. This will help in preventing unauthorised access to your phone.
