Just yesterday, Nothing announced the rollout of the Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta 1 for the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus users. Now, they have extended the rollout to the Nothing Phone (1). This comes after platforms like X were flooded with posts asking when the Nothing Phone (1) users would receive the Open Beta 1 of Nothing OS 3.0. Finally, it is official—the Open Beta 1 of Nothing OS 3.0 is now available for the Nothing Phone (1).
However, several users in the comment section have reported issues while installing the open beta on their Nothing Phone (1). One user even mentioned that his phone had been stuck in a boot state for over an hour.
Since it is the first day of the rollout, it’s likely that Nothing will address these issues soon.

Note:
- Shared Widgets are currently supported by Nothing devices only. At this stage, only Photo Widgets (square) can be shared. We are rapidly developing support for other widgets, so stay tuned.

How to Access the Beta
For Nothing Phone (1):
- Ensure your device runs Nothing OS 2.6, build number Spacewar-U2.6-241031-1818.
- Download the APK from the Nothing community post and install it.
- Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta Version.
- Tap Check for New Version and follow the instructions.
Rollback Instructions
If you need to return to Nothing OS 2.6:
- Download the rollback package from the community post.
- Navigate to Settings > System > Update to Beta Version.
- Tap Import File and select the rollback package.
- Follow the steps.
Note: Create a “Documents” folder in internal storage if needed to avoid errors.
