Meizu Officially Announces the Arrival of Flyme 12 in China; Meizu’s 21 Series, 20 Series, and Lucky 08 to Get it Soon

The Chinese smartphone maker – Meizu has now announced the arrival of its next Flyme 12 software system and unlike what was expected before, it will be launched ahead of the Meizu 22 series and will likely be adapted first onto the brand’s other smartphone models.

Meizu’s Flyme 12 Software System – Launching in May 2025
Via a new Weibo update, Meizu has officially announced that its Flyme 12 software system is coming with Flyme AIOS 2. It will be launched during the mid-half of next month in May 2025, and the AI capabilities have been accelerated to provide its users more by understanding their needs.
To add, originally, the Flyme 12 software system was scheduled to come out with the brand’s latest flagship 22 series smartphone models, however it has been advanced to mid-May 2025, and will be adapted onto the 21 series, 20 series, and Lucky 08 smartphone models one after the other. This also means that the upcoming Meizu 22 series won’t possibly be released until mid-May 2025.
Speaking more, last month in March 2025, the brand revealed that the Meizu 22 series with AI capabilities will be launched in Summer 2025. However, from what it seems, there is a likely chance that the launch could be delayed. In related news, the Meizu Note 16 series launch was also teased to take place this month in April 2025, but its official launch date is yet to be shared.
About the Meizu 22 series, reportedly the Meizu 22 and Meizu 22 Pro models are said to launch featuring small-screen and large-screen straight displays respectively, along with key specs such as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, car-machine interconnection, White color choice, and an AI key.
Probably in the coming days, teaser updates and other reports can be expected, which could be revealing more about the brand’s Flyme 12 software system as well as the upcoming smartphones. Stay tuned.
