May 2026 Security Patch With Some New Additional Features Now Rolling Out for Realme GT 8 Pro Devices in India

Realme GT 8 Pro users in India have now started receiving the May 2026 software update. The update will be bringing the latest Android security patch, along with new features and improvements mainly for the system animations, Live Space, AI Translate, AI-powered Photos, and Flux Home screen related aspects of the device.

May 2026 Software Update Now Rolling Out

As mentioned, the monthly software update for the month of May 2026 is now rolling out, and this update will be made available to Realme GT 8 Pro users in India. The update carries the version number RMX5210_16.0.7.205 and has a total downloadable size of 2.7GB. The roll-out process will be taking place in a phase-wise manner, and it will reach users over the coming days. Once the update reaches, users will be notified of it on their respective devices.

Speaking of the changelogs, several new features and improvements are part of this update. The May 2026 Android security patch has been integrated to enhance system security. The update also upgrades system app animations, while seamless animations when switching between apps such as Messages, Weather, and Calendar for smoother transitions have also been added.

Speaking more about Live Space, the Lock screen has been improved with a dual-mode design featuring a notification capsule that displays notifications and Live Updates without covering the wallpaper. Support for viewing key information at a glance in immersive mode without unlocking the device, swiping down to tuck Lock screen notifications and Live Alerts into capsules to reduce clutter, swipe-up expansion, and smooth animations are also part of it.

The music focus mode on the Lock screen has also been added with this update. Users will be able to tap the album art or capsule in Live Alerts on the Lock screen to expand it as the background. The timer focus mode on the Lock screen is also included, and users can tap the timer in Live Alerts to view their countdown in full screen without unlocking.

Via the newly added the AI-powered menu translation feature, it can instantly generate dish images, allergens, and ingredients while translating. Along with this, It can also recognises prices, converts currencies, and adds items to the basket for seamless overseas dining. AI-powered summaries for real-time interpretation, automatic titles and summaries for translated conversations, and improvements for real-time interpretation with context awareness are also part of it.

A more customisable Popout option in Collage with flexible popout directions and subjects has been added. The Flux Home screen also gets support for sorting Home screen apps by colour or category with one tap for a cleaner layout. Auto-save feature for Home screen layouts, one-tap restore, and support for finding apps by colour in Drawer mode are also included.

As stated above, this is a phased rollout, meaning not all users will get this update at the same time. So, if you are amongst those who haven’t received it yet, it may land soon.
