May 2026 Google Pixel Update Announced with Improvements to Battery Charging, Camera Performance, and Display

Following the April 2026 rollout, Google has now officially announced the rollout of the May 2026 update for its Pixel devices, and as you must have guessed from the headline, it brings several improvements to battery charging, camera performance, and display graphics.

As per what has been announced in this update, those who have Pixel 7a and newer devices are eligible for this May 2026 update. Furthermore, those with Pixel 7a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and Pixel 10a devices are receiving a fix for slow wireless charging when the device is between 75% and 80%, and in some situations where the keyboard or input screen could appear frozen or incorrectly positioned in certain apps under specific conditions.

Speaking more from the changelog, those with Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL a fix for an issue where the screen could intermittently appear fuzzy, frozen, or display noise lines. While users of the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL are also getting a fix for a bug that caused a persistent flickering white dot or visual noise to appear at the top of the display under certain conditions. Lastly, another fix where the camera app could freeze while recording video and adjusting the zoom level is also being provided in this update; however, it is only for Pixel 10 users.
