Here’s a List of Samsung Galaxy Smartphones Whose Support Period Ends in 2025

Samsung, the South Korean smartphone maker, is one among the most serious brands which gives utmost importance in rolling out regular software updates to its devices and these days we have already seen the debut of many latest Galaxy smartphones with longer software update periods, the most recent being the three Galaxy S25 series flagships with promised 7 years of OS and software updates.

However, there are a few Galaxy smartphone devices that will be finishing its support period this year, while already three models have completed it as of now. Check out the list of Galaxy smartphones whose support period ends this year in 2025 below.

Galaxy Smartphones With Support Period Ending This Year

  • Samsung Galaxy A02s (Support Period Ended in January 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy A12 (Support Period Ended in January 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy W21 5G (Chinese re-branded version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, Support Period Ended in January 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (Support Period Ends in October 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Support Period Ends in October 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G (Support Period Ends in March 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (Support Period Ends in March 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G (Support Period Ends in March 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20+ (Support Period Ends in March 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 5G (Support Period Ends in March 2025)
  • Samsung Galaxy S20 (Support Period Ends in March 2025)

Of the eleven Galaxy smartphone models listed above, the Galaxy A02s, Galaxy A12, and Galaxy W21 5G all have completed their support period in January 2025 and will no longer receive any more future updates. For the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and Galaxy S20 FE models, users will still be able to use it for a few more months with more updates, however, this will be until October 2025 of this year. Unfortunately, in a few weeks, that is in next month, March 2025, the other six Galaxy S20 series models which includes the 5G and 4G models of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 models will complete its support cycle and will stop receiving future updates.

Samsung has already unveiled many new Galaxy models with longer support periods in its A-series, F-series, M-series, S-series, and Z-series. The users of the above mentioned devices are best advised to switch or change to newer models as the support period of the older models ends.
