Google Rolls-Out the December 2023 Update for its Various Pixel Devices

The December 2023 update is being rolled out to various Pixel devices running on the latest Android 14 operating system. The update is rolling out in phases starting today, and the roll-out will be continuing over the next week.

Google Pixel Devices – December 2023 Update

Google’s December 2023 update brings a lot of improvements and bug fixes for the eligible devices, in its system, user interface, apps, connectivity, security, and many more.

About the changelogs, many UI improvements are part of the update and the issues that have been affecting users will be fixed. In the system, the issues which caused third party apps to crash as well as the issue with battery charging notifications, will be fixed. The stability and performance of apps will also be receiving some general improvements.

There will also be improvements in network connection stability and performance, and the problem that caused Voice over Wi-Fi calls to fail will be fixed. The stability and performance of Wi-Fi will also receive improvements. The issues that cause Bluetooth and Bluetooth discovery to function improperly will be fixed too. The GPS instability issue will be fixed as well.

On the display and graphics side, issues like the emoji icons being rendered with higher brightness, the occurrence of visual artifacts, and the appearance of green flash will be fixed. The display stability will also receive general improvements. The camera stability will be improved, and the issue of not allowing hearing aids to be paired to the phone during a call will be fixed.

Coming to system security, the fingerprint issue that didn’t allow users to unlock the device on the first try while the always-on display is enabled will be fixed. The continuous phone vibrations in some cases will also be fixed. A few general improvements will also be made for charging and battery usage.
