ColorOS 16 June Update’s Global Rollout Announced With Sports Widget, Audio Sharing, Outdoor Mode, 2K Game Capture, and More

The June month ColorOS 16 update’s Global rollout has now been announced by OPPO, and it comes with several new features and improvements. As per what has been shared, the rollout had already started on the 1st of June and is expected to be completed by the 30th of June.

ColorOS 16 June Update’s Global Rollout – New Features and Eligible Devices

Coming to what is new in this update, OPPO has added a new Sports Widget feature that brings schedules, scores, and updates of the world soccer tournament directly to the home screen. With this, users will be able to get all the key match-related updates in one glance. To note, this feature is available in Mexico, Brazil, India, and Indonesia.

Speaking more, the Audio Sharing feature has also been added with this update. With this feature, users will be able to connect two pairs of Bluetooth headphones to one device, allowing two users to listen to the same song, movie, or other audio content together.

Another new addition is the Moonrise and Moonset feature. This feature lets users check precise Moonrise and Moonset timings, along with live moon phases. As mentioned, the data and statistics for this feature are also provided by a third party.

The Outdoor Mode feature is also part of this update, and it lets users pin their 4 most-used apps for instant one-tap switching. This feature is aimed at making app access quicker while users are outdoors or on a trail. To note, this feature is supported on OPPO Find X9 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Pro, OPPO Find X9s, OPPO Find X9, OPPO Find X8 Pro, OPPO Find X8, OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G, OPPO Reno15 5G, OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G, and OPPO Reno14 5G.

With the new Turn off Accessibility protection feature, the eligible devices will be able to instantly detect apps from unknown sources with dangerous permissions and let users shut them down with one tap.

Game Capture has also been improved, and it now supports 2K screenshots and can be accessed via Game Assistant – Tools – Game Capture – 2K Hyper Resolution screenshot. This feature is supported on OPPO Find N5, OPPO Find X9 Pro, OPPO Find X9, OPPO Find X8 Ultra, OPPO Find X8 Pro, OPPO Find X8s, OPPO Find X8, OPPO Find X7 Ultra, OPPO Find X7, OPPO Reno15 Pro Max 5G, OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G, OPPO Reno15, OPPO Reno15 5G, OPPO Reno15 F 5G, OPPO Reno15c 5G, OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G, and OPPO Reno14 5G.

Most-used apps recommendation has aalso been improved for quicker access as a new App suggestions category has been added in the category view’s app drawer.
