Apple Releases New macOS Sequoia 15.5 and iOS 18.5 Updates for Mac and iPhone Users

The Cupertino-based tech maker – Apple has now released the macOS Sequoia 15.5 update for its Mac users and the iOS 18.5 update for its iPhone users. Both these will be bringing bug fixes and security updates, along with feature enhancements/additions.

macOS Sequoia 15.5 and iOS 18.5 – Now Rolling Out
The macOS Sequoia 15.5 update that has been made available to Mac users has a total size of only 2.98 GB, and it is the brand’s fifth major update for macOS Sequoia. This update as mentioned is revealed to bring enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates on Mac devices, and the only notable feature addition is with Screen Time – Parents will be notified if Screen Time passcode is used on their child’s device.
About the iOS 18.5 update, it has a total size of 1.38 GB and the update will be introducing a new Pride Harmony wallpaper for the device’s lock screen. Other feature additions, bug fixes, and security updates are also part of the update as mentioned above. Reportedly, this update addresses a large number of security flaws, and also lets the older iPhone 13 series models access carrier-provided satellite messaging features.
In related news, Apple just three days back officially announced its next annual developer conference event – WWDC25, and it is scheduled to be conducted from the 9th of June 2025 to the 13th of June 2025. The brand is also believed to share details about its next iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and MacOS 16 operating systems at the event and reports have stated that this time new icons and menus will be introduced on them to bring a VisionOS-like appearance.
