Apple Releases its macOS Tahoe 26.1 and iOS 26.1 Updates, Bringing New Tinted Option for Liquid Glass, Other Added Features, Bug Fixes, and More

Apple – the Cupertino-based tech giant has now released the macOS Tahoe 26.1 update for its Mac users and the iOS 26.1 update for its iPhone users. As part of these new updates, the brand is bringing a new design element, along with other added features, bug fixes, and more.

Apple’s macOS 26.1 and iOS 26.1 Updates Released
The new macOS 26.1 update that has been released now has a total size of 13.35 GB, and its installation time following the download is pointed out to be 20 minutes. Regarding its changelogs, for the Liquid Glass design, a new tinted option will be added. Apart from these, as mentioned above, a few other features, bug fixes, and security updates are also part of the update.
With the iOS 26.1 update too, the brand will be bringing the new tinted option on the Liquid Glass design for its users, and it will be offering the option to choose from the default clear look and a tinted look. With the tinted look, the opacity of materials in the apps and Lock Screen notifications will be increased.
As per the details revealed, for iPhone users, the new iOS 26.1 update will also be bringing the live translation support with Apple AirPods (for languages like Chinese simplified + traditional, Japanese, Italian, and Korean), swipe gesture on the Apple Music Mini Player (for going to the next/previous song), Apple Music Mini Player support over AirPlay, external USB mic gain control option, specific location saving for local capture files, direct manual workout logging on the Fitness app, new camera setting for ‘Swipe to Open Camera’ option on the Lock Screen, improved FaceTime audio quality for scenarios with low bandwidth, and the default Communication Safety and Web Content Filters for existing child accounts (for children aged 13 years ~ 17 years, depends based on regions and countries*).
