Apple Officially Commences its WWDC25 Event: Here’s Everything Covered at the Recent Apple Keynote

The Cupertino-based tech maker – Apple commenced its much-awaited annual developer conference – WWDC25 with the recently-held Keynote event and many big announcements were made by the brand. Notably, updates concerning the Liquid Glass iOS design, operating systems re-numbering to ’26’, macOS Tahoe, Vision Pro’s gaming – video – work functionalities, Apple TV karaoke machine, Apple Music lyric translation, live translation, and ChatGPT Image Playground were announced at the recent Apple Keynote.

Apple Conducts its Keynote on 9th June 2025 – Latest Updates

After 2013, Apple introduced its first major iOS redesign at the Keynote event yesterday (on 9th June 2025), and the brand calls it the ‘Liquid Glass’ design. As earlier revealed, the new iOS design is based or inspired from Vision Pro itself, adopting similar design elements. Along with this, Apple has also re-numbered all its operating systems to ’26’, bringing an end to the confusion that has persisted over the past few years. So, Apple users can expect iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 soon. Also, Apple’s new macOS will be called Tahoe, and it is inspired by skiing and outdoor destinations of California. Features such as customizable controls, transparent menu bar, color changing + emoji adding options for folder, and many new iOS-like features are part of it .

On Vision Pro, Apple has brought new updates – notably the spatial computing features like adding virtual clocks and windows inside the user’s room. Additionally, more gaming, video, work-related features have also been introduced with support/partnership of Sony VR2 Sense controllers, Canon, GoPro, Insta360, new programming features, and the Logitech Muse device.

This year, Apple also plans to upgrade its TV device into a karaoke machine as well with the machine learning feature that will enable users to turn down vocals on an Apple Music song. With the help of an iPhone device acting as a microphone, users will also be offered the capability to record their vocals into the song by replacing the original vocals. Apple Music has also got a lyric translation functionality, along with Automix that makes use of AI to cater to users’ music tastes, and also a pinning option for favorite albums, playlists, and artists on the music library. Moreover, real-time live translation capability has also been brought for calls, texts, and FaceTime (spoken translation + caption).

On devices with Apple Intelligence, the brand has made certain enhancements to the Image Playground tool making use of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Furthermore, a few updates have been rolled out to Visual Intelligence (~ Apple’s Gemini Live-like feature), offering it more performance capabilities.

Apart from these above-mentioned announcements, the brand also unveiled a new Games app featuring a list of all downloaded games, friends and the games they are playing, as well as challenge options and high-score leader boards. Also, on Apple CarPlay, the widget interface has been updated, allowing users to see both directions and other features on the display screen even during an ongoing call.
