Android 16 Beta 3 update will be released tomorrow

Google is expected to release the stable version of Android 16 in the month of June this year. The beta testing for Android 16 has already started. Android 16 Beta 1 update was released in late January 2025 and the second beta update was rolled out last month.

Reportedly, Google will be releasing at least four beta updates before rolling out the stable version. Android Developers have today officially announced on the X platform  Android 16 Beta 3 will be dropping tomorrow.

This upcoming update is said to bring Platform Stability signaling that all developer APIs and app-facing behaviors have been finalized. The detailed information about what this update includes will be known after its release. After this, Google is expected to release one more update- Android 16 Beta 4.

Previously the Android 16 Beta 2 update arrived with enhanced camera features ( new hybrid auto exposure mode, fine color temperature, tint adjustments, and more ), custom graphical effects ( complex effects, behavior changes, content handling for live wallpapers, headroom APIs in ADPF, key sharing API, standardized picture and audio quality framework for TVs, and more accessibility.

As previously revealed, two Android API releases will happen this year, with the major SDK release in Q2 2025 and a minor SDK release later in Q4 2025.
