OnePlus Nord 4 OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 Update With July 2026 Security Patch Rolled Out in India
The OnePlus Nord 4 smartphone has now been issued the OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 update in the India region, and the update carries the firmware version CPH2661_16.0.5.1001(EX01). As per what has been announced by OnePlus, the latest update only integrates the July 2026 Android security patch to enhance the overall system security of the device.

To note, the rollout announcement has currently only been made for the India region, and the brand has not shared any details regarding when the same update will be made available to OnePlus Nord 4 users in other markets. The update is also likely being rolled out in batches, meaning that it may take some time before it reaches all eligible users in the country.
However, while not much can currently be said regarding the stability of this latest update, one user in the comment section has pointed out that the custom launcher bug has been reintroduced after installing it. The user first mentioned, “DO NOT UPDATE – THE CUSTOM LAUNCHER BUG IS REINTRODUCED IN THIS UPDATE.”

Explaining the issue further, the user stated, “It means that home button animations are triggered when using the home button in a custom launcher. The result is laggy and jerky behaviour.”
Those who have already received and installed the OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 update and are facing the above-mentioned issue can report the bug directly via the OnePlus Community app. Users will have to visit their profile and select the “Bug Report” section to submit their feedback.
In addition to this, since the update is currently planned for the India region, Indian users also have the option to dial *#800# on their OnePlus Nord 4 smartphone to access the feedback tool and report any bugs or issues they may face after installing the update.
Stay tuned for more updates!
