Minecraft Bedrock Edition to Come on Chromebooks: Here’s What We Know

The sandbox game, Minecraft developed by Mojang Studios and which is currently under the ownership of Microsoft will arrive on Chromebooks starting from the 15th of March 2023. This is however an early access version and will only be available on selected Chromebooks.

Minecraft Bedrock Edition to Come on Chromebooks

The Swedish video game developer company, which is currently under the ownership of Microsoft, will bring the Minecraft Bedrock Edition to Chromebooks expanding its range of devices which supports the game. The game will feature cross device play, access to Minecraft Marketplace and even the ability to play on Realms, wrote the company on its website.

However it is also to be noted that this is not a full version and is just an early access version. Moreover, the game can only be downloaded and played on selected Chromebooks. To know whether your Chromebook supports this early access version or not, users will just have to visit Google Play Store and search for the game.

The company has also mentioned that since the Minecraft Bedrock Edition that has been released on Chromebooks is an early access version, the game might have possible bugs and the users should choose to report it in the company’s website or by messaging them on Discord.

The minimum requirement of the game are, the Chromebook should operate on ChromeOS 111, it should have a 64-bit (x86_64, arm64-v8a) system architecture, a RAM of 4GB and a minimum storage of 1GB. The Chromebook users must also ensure that the device is equipped with an Intel Celeron N4500, Intel i3-7130U, Mediatek MT8183, Qualcomm SC7180 or a better processor, if they would want to play the game.

The company has also assured that with full version of the game, Minecraft will be playable across more devices and will also bring many more features including the upcoming trails and tails update.
